BALBOA PARK WEDDING Balboa Weddings Balboa Park is a city park, maintained and managed by the City of San Diego Park and Recreation Department. The park is an ideal site for family, community and leisure activities, as well as weddings. Please note that if you’re having an outdoor wedding, alcohol is permitted from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Balboa Park Central Mesa, and not permitted on the west side of Balboa Park, Morley Field, 28th Street Park, Golden Hill Park, and Grape Street Park. WeddingThe historic Balboa Park Club Building was first built for the park’s 1915 exposition to house the State of New Mexico’s display. It was later modified and enlarged for the 1935 exposition. It was during this time that sculptor Frederick Schweigardt and artist Belle Baraceneau shaped their remarkable fountain and frieze, which embellish the building’s grand entrance hall. Rental facilities within the building consists of two areas; the Santa Fe Room, a medium sized banquet/meeting hall to the left of the main entrance, and the Ballroom, featuring roughly 13,000 square feet of open wood dance floor.

and magnificence of days gone by with traditions of today to craft the
wedding of your dreams.The stylish 5,000 square foot House of Hospitality Grand Ballroom is situated beside the Fountain Courtyard and can seat up to 400 guests. This exclusive room features gorgeous hardwood floors, a 27-foot hand-stenciled ceiling, skylights, custom chandeliers, and a dance floor and fully equipped theatrical stage. Group whose family of restaurants include the award winning Blue Point
Coastal Cuisine, Dakota Grill & Spirits, Kemo Sabe, Corvette Diner,
Prado Restaurant and Indigo Grill. The notable landmark House of Hospitality
was built in 1915 and newly reopened after undergoing complete renovation.
The House of Hospitality has been a favorite wedding ceremony and wedding
reception location for generations of San Diegans since 1935.
Wedding Balboa Prado Balboa Park is the home of the San Diego Zoo and the Culture Center of San Diego.
