SCRIPPS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL ENCINITAS 
The Scripps Rehabilitation Center at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas,
one of only two rehabilitation centers in San Diego County specializing
in brain injury, has a team of specially trained therapists who have extensive
knowledge and experience helping individuals with all kinds of brain injuries.
Launched in 1994, the Brain Injury Day Treatment Program helps previously
active individuals get back to their normal, productive lifestyles.The Encinitas facility, located along the coast of San Diego’s North County, joined the Scripps System in 1978. The hospital has 140 acute-care licensed beds and more than 700 employees. Scripps Encinitas offers a full range of clinical and surgical services including 24-hour emergency services, intensive care, cancer/oncology, nuclear medicine, radiology, orthopedics, neurology, urology, ophthalmology and an ambulatory surgery center.  Scripps Hospital Hillcrest Scripps is a community-based health care system and
San Diego’s premier health care provider, with a proud legacy of
providing excellent care for the people of San Diego. In 1890 Sisters
of Mercy, led by Sister Mary Michael Cummings, opened a five-bed dispensary,
St. Joseph’s, on Sixth Avenue and Market Street in downtown San
Diego. The hospital moved to Eighth and University Avenues in Hillcrest
the following year. In 1995, the hospital, now known as Mercy Hospital,
joined Scripps, adding 520 beds, eight health care centers, more than
2400 employees and 943 physicians to the Scripps network.
On October 1, 2004 Scripps Mercy in Hillcrest and Scripps Memorial in Chula Vista merged to become Scripps Mercy Hospital, with two campuses, South and Central. Scripps Chula Vista had been struggling financially for years, and had to find a partner. But the merge wasn’t only financially motivated. It was also a way of giving the South Bay community the advantage of the resources of a larger hospital in a much more direct way. Scripps Hospital Jobs Customer Service Specialist You will demonstrate outstanding customer service skills by greeting and checking in patients. Within this role, you will request general patient information, verify insurance, coverage, record demographic information, collect co-payments, respond to questions, and direct patients to the seating area. Qualifications: Customer service experience and knowledge of medical terminology. Prior medical experience preferred Registered Nurse Within the scope of direct patient care, you will assess, plan and implement a plan of care and evaluate patients' progress towards the expected outcomes. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or the equivalent. Current California R.N. license, current BLS-C provider. Minimum of one year recent ICU experience, knowledge of patient focused delivery preferred. Scripps Memorial Hospital Chula Vista 
Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista was founded in 1964, and joined the
Scripps system in 1986. Services at Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista
include obstetrics and gynecology, rehabilitation including physical,
occupational and speech therapies, cancer care services, inpatient and
outpatient radiology, a full range of surgical services including plastic,
orthopedic, thoracic/vascular, urology and general surgery, and neurology.The hospital is a 159-bed acute care community hospital. Construction is currently in progress that will expand and renovate both the Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit. Scripps is a regional integrated delivery system with six acute care hospitals and a wide range of ancillary health care services and research divisions. |
